RETURN POLICY
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Maison De Élise produces limited collections and operates under USA consumer protection standards. This policy explains how cancellations, returns, refunds, and product concerns are handled while preserving your statutory rights.

PRODUCT REPRESENTATION & EXPECTATION DISCLAIMER
Product photography is created in professional studio conditions for styling presentation. Lighting, fabric drape, camera angles, body proportions, posture, and undergarments may affect how a garment appears online.
Actual appearance when worn will vary depending on individual body shape and styling. Minor differences in colour tone, sheerness, corset structure, drape, embellishment placement, stitching visibility, or fabric behaviour are normal production characteristics.
These variations are not faults and do not qualify an item as defective. Fit perception and personal expectation are subjective and do not classify a product as faulty.
MANUFACTURING TOLERANCE & QUALITY CLARIFICATION
Garments are produced through large-scale manufacturing processes.
The following are considered acceptable tolerances and do not qualify as defects:
- loose threads
- raw hems
- minor seam irregularities
- handmade embellishment variation
- slight uneven finishing
- measurement tolerance of 1–3 cm
These characteristics do not affect wearability and are not classified as manufacturing faults.
Only structural damage that prevents normal wear qualifies as a verified defect under UK consumer standards. Perceived quality preference does not classify an item as faulty.
ORDER CANCELLATION WINDOW
Once an order has been placed, it cannot be cancelled.
However, order modifications may still be possible for a short period after purchase. If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist.
All orders are processed quickly, so modification requests cannot be guaranteed.
This policy does not affect your statutory right to return your order after delivery in accordance with applicable consumer laws.
LEGAL COOLING-OFF RIGHT (DISTANCE SELLING)
Under USA distance selling regulations, customers may cancel an online purchase within 14 days of confirmed delivery.
To exercise this right:
- A return request must be submitted via email within 14 days
- Items must remain unused and in resellable condition
- Original tags and packaging must be intact
Cooling-off cancellations are issued as store credit.
Return shipping costs remain the customer’s responsibility.
RETURN SHIPPING RESPONSIBILITY
Return shipping costs are determined by carrier pricing and may vary depending on location and shipping conditions.
By requesting a return, the customer accepts responsibility for all return shipping charges. Maison De Élise does not control courier pricing and does not reimburse change-of-mind return shipping.
Tracked shipping is strongly recommended. We are not responsible for returns lost in transit.
INSPECTION & CONDITION REQUIREMENTS
All returned items are inspected upon arrival.
Items showing signs of wear, washing, perfume, smoke, makeup, stains, alteration, or missing components may be refused or subject to a diminished value deduction depending on condition.
Items must be returned in resellable condition.
NO EXCHANGES
We do not offer exchanges.
Customers must return eligible items and place a new order if a different size or style is required.
DELIVERY DISCLAIMER
Our usual delivery timeframe is 3–7 working days, but delays may occur due to courier operations, customs processing, weather conditions, or seasonal volume.
Delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Purchases made for specific events or occasions are at customer discretion. Delivery delays do not qualify as faults or grounds for refund.
FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If an item arrives structurally faulty or incorrect:
- A return portal request must be submitted within 7 days of delivery
- Clear photos evidence and video may be required
All claims are subject to verification.
The standard first resolution is a replacement item. A refund is issued only if a verified replacement also fails.
If an item is verified as structurally faulty, a free replacement will always be provided as the first resolution.
If the replacement item is also confirmed to be faulty, the customer will be entitled to a full refund in accordance to USA consumer law.
Normal manufacturing tolerances do not qualify as faults.
RESPONSE TIME
If a customer has contacted us and we are waiting for a reply, we will keep the conversation open for a maximum of 8 days.
If no response is received within this period, the case will be considered inactive and may be closed on our end.
If the customer reaches out again after this timeframe, we will of course assist them further. However, please note that:
- Previous resolutions, offers, or arrangements may no longer be valid
- The request may be treated as a new case depending on the situation
This policy helps us manage requests efficiently and ensure timely support for all customers.
HYGIENE RESTRICTIONS
For hygiene and safety reasons, bodysuits, lingerie, swimwear, and items with removed hygiene seals cannot be returned once opened.
DELIVERED BUT MISSING PARCELS
If tracking confirms delivery, customers must first contact the courier to open an investigation.
Customers should check neighbours, safe locations, parcel lockers, building mailrooms, and household members before reporting a missing parcel.
We assist with documentation, but final resolution depends on carrier findings.
UNDELIVERABLE OR REFUSED ORDERS
All returned orders, regardless of reason are subject to a 25% handling fee.
This includes (but is not limited to) refused deliveries, incorrect addresses, and failure to collect the parcel.
Refunds will be issued as store credit minus the 25% handling fee. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
ABUSE PREVENTION
We reserve the right to refuse returns, refunds, or service in cases of excessive return behaviour, suspected fraud, chargeback abuse, or policy exploitation. Additional verification may be required.
POLICY UPDATES
We may update this policy at any time.
The version active at the time of purchase governs the order unless required otherwise by law.
